this month’s THEME: calling on the mother

This New Moon we allow ourselves to feel, to love & to be loved. Inspired by the Planetary Ruler of Cancer, the Moon, we will call on the Great Mother, within and without.

This is part of our year long series, Faces of the Feminine, where we will dive deeper into the different dimensions of the wild woman through faces of the feminine. Expect myth, archetypes, and storytelling while practicing the principals of presence and authentic relating.

“When women reassert their relationship with the wildest nature, they are gifted with a permanent and internal watcher, a knower, a visionary, an oracle, an inspiratrice, an intuitive, a maker, a creator, an inventor, and a listener who guide, suggest, and urge vibrant life in the inner and outer world.”
— -Clarissa Pinkola Estes|Women Who Run with the Wolves

about new moon circles:

Every new moon we have the opportunity to set an intention or wish for the moon cycle ahead. It is a seeding time, and more powerful than one might imagine. Based on the astrology of the new moon, we explore different themes of the divine feminine in a sacred container we create together. We call in and receive wisdom from our own inner guidance, the natural world and from those around the circle.

“We breath, move, meditate, visualize, share and create and set intentions. We pause and turn inward with like-hearted sisters. We are free of judgment of ourselves and each other. We listen with love and compassion. We lift and hold each other up. We practice deep care and self love. We keep our eyes toward the greater good. We share a deep love and respect for the natural world and all its creatures. We know we are never alone. We laugh, we cry, and we HOWL”! -Amy Witmyer, Wild Woman Circle Leader and Mentor

about the wild woman project:

This is an official Wild Woman Project circle. The Wild Woman Project is a philosophy, approach to life, movement and network of womens circles that gather around the world. The mission is to awaken women to their most authentic, undomesticated nature so they may feel like themselves all the time, no apologies. Tami, your facilitator, is an experienced Wild Woman Project circle leader and honored to guide these circles with the added special sauce of her experience as Certified Transformative Coach and masters degree in Transpersonal Psychology.

Prep & FLOW:

Each 2-hour circle is a multi-sensual experience with music, fragrance, poetry and storytelling, that embraces a different theme based on the placement of moon, element in nature, as well as incorporates space for the unimagined. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time and space to settle in. For in person circles, there may be a craft or special refreshment in which to immerse ourselves. For the tele circles on Zoom, each circler is asked to create a quiet, sacred space for deep listening and bring a candle, any herbs/oils/burnables, oracle cards (if you have them) and a journal to draw or write in and a soothing beverage. The basic flow looks like this:

•    Welcome into the sacred circle

•    Choosing a divine feminine-based or earth-based oracle card

•    Candle lighting

•    Centering to out of head and into heart, out of judgement and into compassion

•    Introduction to the theme

•    Visualization Journey/Guided Journaling

•   Sharing

•   Intention setting

•   Howl out

We are stronger together! Please join us!
